Martin
The location was convenient, close to temples, supermarkets, and restaurants. the rooms were spacious, well heated, and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great start to the day.
The French course dinner was not up to par. While the presentation was meticulous and the ingredients fresh, some of the dishes were off-balance due to overuse of acid.

I had an incredible experience staying at this traditional hotel. the warm welcome from the employees made me feel right at home. the serene location was perfect, with convenient access to temples, supermarkets and restaurants. My room was incredibly spacious and well-heated which I appreciated on chilly nights. I particularly loved the hinoki bathtub that provided a relaxing aroma when filled. Breakfast was a highlight, with the traditional dishes being a dream.
One aspect that I did not appreciate as much were some of the flavors of the French course dinner. Though the presentation and plating were meticulous and artistic, some of the dishes had an imbalance of acidity which was not to my taste.

The rooms had a really cool style mixing natural materials with modern design. Rooms were spacious and had great heating. It was super convenient, close to the temples, supermarkets, and restaurants. the breakfast was a delicious start to the day.
For guests arriving with heavy luggage, there may be a bit of a walk from public transport or a need to take the bus. A French course dinner was nice but some dishes could have better flavor balance.
